Our teachers:

Jaki Savage is the founder and director of Centre. She has been practising yoga for 19 years and teaching for four. Although her passion is Astanga Yoga she is still Centre’s main yoga teacher taking all of the weekly classes in their various forms and has recently added Zumba classes to the weekly schedule. She says ” I opened Centre in order to give local people a chance to experience somewhere that will improve them physically, mentally and spiritually without going to a gym, breaking the bank or having to travel to a main city to find a similar place. I love to teach and to help people realise the many benefits of a regular yoga practice. This life we live should be the most healthiest, happiest and  fulfilling journey we take and I want to help people achieve that. Happy yoga!”

Andrea Douglas is one of the best Pilates teachers you will ever meet. She has over eight years teaching experience in local gyms and fitness centres, and we are honoured to now have her as Centre’s main Pilates instructor. She is always developing her knowledge and skills, and is always eager to share what she knows with those in her classes. She says “I have helped many people develop and strengthen deep core muscles and stabilise joints. This aids postural alignment and corrects muscle imbalances. My philosophy is ‘strength on the inside creates strength in life’. Pilates has certainly changed my life for the better.”

Mike Watson is Centre’s much loved Tai Chi teacher. He has been studying Tai Chi since 1994 and teaching for 11 years. He has a wealth of experience teaching classes and workshops locally and overseas. He continues his own development under the guidance of SIFU John Ding and hopes to pass those teachings on to his students. He says “I am a different person since practising Tai Chi. It has helped me develop physically, mentally and spiritually. My self-confidence has grown and day to day I am so much more healthy. Tai Chi really does it for me – I hope it has the same effect on you.”
